The art of listening to records all the way through isn’t dead. Every time we listen to an album from beginning to end, we record it here. We may have some difficulty listening to vinyl whilst travelling, so our iPods are filled with as much music as possible – we also shuffle for surprises! We have Spotify so we can listen to and research the records that we want for the archive – isn’t that what Spotify is for? But we do of course get into listening to individual tracks and last but not least I thought how interesting to make a note of the songs I hear that I didn’t choose, songs in lifts and shops and malls. Last but not least: PLEASE get yourself a decent sound system, don’t be satisfied with a plastic tower that tells you the capital of Nigeria (Abuja) and responds to your voice, it’s not the real thing, don’t believe the hype!
