Hey everyone,
Today sees fresh sounds emanating from MOAT with the latest album POISON STREAM ready to go. The project is a collaboration between myself and Swedish-German multi-instrumentalist Niko Röhlcke with Noctorum partner Dare Mason in the control room, putting our heads together for this three-way production extravaganza. Noctorum drummer Eddie John appears as well as Olivia on violin and cellolin, backing vocals and design skills. The music falls firmly under the banner of eclectic, but moody, upbeat, lyrical, catchy, weird, soulful and accessible seems to cover it. Acoustic guitars, electric guitars, piano, synths, a Swedish string section, a Swedish horn section, vocoder, piano accordion, electronics, bass, bouzouki, EBow and our friend Torbjörn Svedberg adding a little moody magic as well as a great Swedish name – what are you waiting for? Now ready for preorder on translucent green gatefold vinyl, and CD digipak, with the cover photo taken by my old friend Jan Uddenfeldt who also took the pic on the cover of the reissued Hanging Out In Heaven vinyl. We begin a release campaign where beyond receiving brand new music you can also contribute to the cause by purchasing other items from exotic postcards to house concerts, skype concerts to handwritten & illustrated lyrics, signed prints to intriguing mystery boxes. Here in Musicland we really appreciate your support and I hope you will enjoy ACID RAIN, the second teaser track from the upcoming album (see below).
